Easy Cabbage Soup

My Easy Cabbage Soup

**This is my favorite soup and very good and filling!**

1 pound extra lean ground beef

1 tsp garlic powder or 1-2 garlic cloves crushed

1 tsp black pepper

½ tsp Italian seasoning

½ yellow onion chopped

2-3 cups fat free chicken broth low sodium

2-3 cups shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix

¼ cup shredded or chopped carrot

½ cup chopped celery

¼ cup tomato sauce (sugar free and low sodium if you can find it)

Makes 4 servings

Brown ground beef, seasonings, and onion then add chicken broth and remaining ingredients and cook for about 20 -30 minutes on medium heat.  Add a little water if broth cooks down too much.  Serve.

*This soup makes a real satisfying meal if you are on a diet.  It is great for those on the HCG diet as well.  Mixing these types of veggies did not cause us weight loss stalls.  Later I will publish more recipes for the HCG diet.  We were successful in our weightloss and I lost over 20 pounds and 10 by applying what I learned and following a low carb diet.
