1 ½ cups lukewarm water

1 packet yeast

1 tsp. brown sugar

1 tsp. salt

2 T. oil

3 1/3 cups flour

 

Dissolve yeast in water add sugar and let sit for 5 minutes.  Add the salt and oil, then add flour a little at a time until a soft dough is formed.  Knead the dough for 5 minutes or until it is not sticky.  Place in a greased bowl and let rise in warm place until double in size, about an hour.   Punch down dough and divide into 2 pieces.  Makes two 16 inch pies.  Roll out on floured surface to fit pizza tins.  With dough lying across knuckles (make a little fist) toss dough and spin a couple of times.  This makes it light and more round.  Pat down in pan and lightly prick with fork (this will prevent air pockets).  Let the dough rise for 15 minutes and then top with pizza sauce, pepperoni and toppings. 

 

Quick & easy pizza sauce

1 8oz. can tomato sauce

1 T. brown sugar

½ tsp. oregano

¼ tsp. basil

¼ tsp. rosemary

½ tsp. garlic powder

½ tsp. black pepper

¼ tsp. red pepper flakes

 

Combine all together and cook over low heat for about 5 minutes.  Let cool and spread on pizza.
